And just like that the Magic have ended its short home-game stint, playing three teams and winning only one out of those three games, with the most recent game being a 91–87 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
It is difficult to point where exactly the Magic fell short, during its game against the Nuggets. However, it could be argued that after the halftime was over, the Nuggets were able to reevaluate the situation and take control of the game.
This is because, right before the halftime the Magic were leaving the second quarter with a lead of five-points, 45–40, Magic. So, for the Magic to lose composure and allow the Nuggets to gain the upper-hand in the second half was quite the head-scratcher.
But another thing to consider about the game against the Nuggets was the fact that the Magic struggled when it came to shooting, such as Terrence Ross or D. J. Augustin’s shots not sinking.
Speaking of confusing things during the game was the fact that when viewing the stats of the game, you’ll notice how the Magic were able to nab more rebounds than the Nuggets did, with the Magic ending with 47 rebounds, and the Nuggets with 41.
Also there’s the fact that some of the Magic players were struggling or are currently in a slump, such as Ross and Mo Bamba.
Currently the Magic are 2–4 and rank 13th place in the Eastern Conference of the league, with the team being ranked eighth just before the weekend kicked off. The Magic will head over to Oklahoma City to face off against the Thunder, followed by the Mavericks, out of the two away games, it’s possible that the Magic could win at least one of the games.
Catch the Magic v. Thunder, Tuesday night at 8 p.m. EST.
