Indianapolis Colts running back Christine Michael has been placed on injured reserve, just two weeks after being signed by the team.

The incident happened on Wednesday during minicamp when Michael collided with safety Tyson Graham; Michael remained on the ground for a while, before limping off the field with help from the training staff. (via Stephen Holder)

In wake of this news, the Colts have signed running back Troymaine Pope to the roster. Pope was a former teammate of Michael’s with the Seattle Seahawks. He had 11 rushes for 43 yards in three games for Seattle last season.

Having just recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, I am now grinding it out to become the best. I am the Celtics Department Head for Armchair, while also contributing to The Standard Times newspaper in New Bedford, MA. I’m not trying to be the small town journalist who can’t make ends meet. I want to be the best, and I won’t stop until I get there. I want to be a household name in the sports community.
