Even though the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Bellator MMA will both be dark this coming week, you still have plenty of mixed martial arts action to look forward to.
Between Wednesday and Saturday nights, there will be four MMA shows for your enjoyment on UFC Fight Pass.
After a night off on Thursday as far as MMA is considered, Friday night, UFC Fight Pass will present M-1 Global’s M-1 USA 4 at 8 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. PST, followed by LFA 81 at 10 p.m. EST, 7 p.m. PST.
Saturday night, an evening before Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Cage Fury Fighting Championships will return to UFC Fight Pass for CFFC 81 at 8 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. PST.
More on those shows later on in the week.
It all begins with Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting’s WXC Warrior Wednesday 11 (a.k.a., WXC 86) from Crystal Gardens in Southgate, MI.
In total, Warrior Wednesday 11 will feature 10 fights.
Action begins Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. EST, 3:30 p.m. PST on the WXC Facebook page with four amateur contests, before moving over to UFC Fight Pass for the remaining six contests from the professional ranks at 8 p.m. EST, 5 p.m. PST.
Highlighting this month’s Warrior Wednesday event will be a three-round non-title main event in the WXC’s Heavyweight division.
In the main attraction this Wednesday night, an all-Michigan affair between Marcus Maulding (8-10) and Josh Parisian (11-3) will take place.
Contender Comparison:
Heading into the main event this Wednesday night, Josh Parisian is the taller contender, standing 6-foot-4, two inches taller than Marcus Maulding at 6-foot-2.
Marcus Maulding has posted a record of 3-2 in his last five fights and enters this main event on a two-fight winning streak.
Last time out, he stopped Trevor Alden (first-round submission due to a rear-naked choke) last month in Warrior Wednesday 10 on UFC Fight Pass.
In the other corner, Josh Parisian has gone 4-1 in his last five contests and enters this main event on a four-fight winning streak.
Like Maulding, Parisian also fought and won last month (second-round knockout due to ground and pound strikes) in ARES FC 1 against Matunga Dijikasa on UFC Fight Pass.
The Tale of the Tape:
Tapology shows that Josh Parisian has an 80-inch reach, with no such information accessible for Marcus Maulding.
Prediction: Josh Parisian by first-round TKO.
Five other fights make up the Wednesday night main card:
Collin Anglin (6-1) vs. Will Frost (1-1) [Featherweight, co-main event]
Isiah Gathings (3-0) vs. Antoine Blassingame (5-6) [Lightweight]
Perry Stargel (1-1) vs. Michael Gilmore (5-3) [Middleweight]
