Florida Starting Pitcher

Fr. RHP Tyler Dyson (3-0, 3.55 ERA)

The Gators will hand the ball to young Tyler Dyson, who will make the biggest start of his young college career on Tuesday night. While he does have one start back in April, Dyson has worked the majority of his 33 innings out of the bullpen in 2017. He features dynamic stuff, with a fastball that sits in the high 90’s and a devastating breaking ball. Look for C Mike Rivera to play a big role with Dyson as he keeps the young right-hander calm and also handles the pressure that LSU will put on him on the bases.

LSU Starting Pitcher

Sr. LHP Jared Poche (12-3, 3.33 ERA)

The Tigers will turn to experience in Game 2 of the College World Series. Poché has been one of the best pitchers in the SEC for the last couple of season and will look to bring that same fire and tenacity he has shown over his four years at LSU. Jared has had his own problems of inconsistency throughout the year, but when he’s on the senior is nearly unhittable. Poché has shown he’s not afraid of the big moment and will lay it all on the line tonight in order to force the Tigers to a winner take all game three match-up on Wednesday.

GAME PREVIEW AND ANALYSIS

It’s all on the line tonight. The Gators carry the weight of never having won a CWS title before and are on the brink of capturing their first ever in school history.

The Gators will turn to a young freshman in RHP Tyler Dyson to carry the weight tonight as he is countered by a savvy veteran in LSU LHP Jared Poché. Look for Poché to dazzle tonight, just as he has been doing all CWS, and give the Tigers just enough in order to set up a winner take all Game 3 Wednesday night.
