DALLAS COWBOYS KEY PLAYER: Tyron Smith

The key player for the Cowboys is basically whoever has to deal with Von Miller on the offensive line. My best guess is it will be big left tackle Tyron Smith, but it could also be L’ael Collins on the right side. Whoever it is, they will have their hands full dealing with one of, if not the best edge rushers in the league. Making sure Miller doesn’t run wild in this matchup will be one of the major key’s for a Cowboys victory. If there is a team capable of containing Miller though, the Cowboy’s and the best offensive line in football would be a pretty good bet.

DENVER BRONCOS KEY PLAYER: Trevor Siemian

Quarterback play has been an area of controversy for the Broncos since Peyton Manning’s final year in 2015. In order for Denver to come out on top, they’ll need Siemian to get on a roll like he did against the Chargers on Monday night. Though the Cowboys secondary looked top notch against the Giants, they’re still suspect, and capable of giving up big plays. The Broncos must get a good game from Siemian where he’s hitting all of his targets in the limited time they may have with the ball, as the Cowboys most likely will be feeding Zeke and controlling time of possession.

GAME PREVIEW AND ANALYSIS

With both teams coming off big, emotional, divisional victories, I’m expecting a slow start out of the gate on both sides. They haven’t seen each other over the last three seasons, so expect a little bit of a feeling out process here. Both these teams have exact opposite strengths and weaknesses. The Cowboys run the ball exceptionally well, defend the run, and still have question marks in their secondary. The Broncos tend to run their offense through their big receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, they have a great pass rush and a lock down secondary, and don’t defend the run well. All these factors make for a tasty evening dose of football.

The Cowboys should, and most likely will give Ezekiel Elliott upwards of thirty carries against the suspect run defense of the Broncos. Where Zeke could carry the Cowboys to victory, the Broncos offense runs hot and cold so it’s difficult to make a prediction here, hence the such close line. We also need to factor in the altitude of Mile High, which the Cowboys won’t be accustomed to (advantage Denver). I like the Cowboys here in a nail biter, but you could really flip a coin as of right now.
