After a 2-0 start and the LSU Tigers making it 2-1, the Gators would make it 6-1 to seal the deal. This moment is monumental for the Fighting Gainesville Gators. When the world doubted them, they believed. They made the upset happen. They will not take that from Florida. No one will ever be able to remove their name from the annals of college baseball. Not only does the title belong to the SEC. It just means more because it now belongs to Florida. 103 years of blood, sweat and tears now results in a championship season.

Not only just a ring, resulting in a two-game sweep against conference rivals LSU, now ends in the biggest moment in the history of Florida baseball. 2017 is the year of the Gators. Finally, they have a championship. The College World Series is now ours to defend. 2018 is now our time to defend THEIR turf.
