This Wednesday, on the eve of Major League Baseball’s Opening Day and the first half of the regional semifinals in the NCAA Tournament, UFC Fight Pass offers a midweek doubleheader of MMA.

The action begins at 8 p.m. EDT (5 p.m. PDT) from Southgate, MI’s Crystal Gardens for Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting’s WXC- Warrior Wednesday 2.

Alaska Fighting Championships’ AFC 146 follows at midnight EDT, 9 p.m. PDT.

Our focus today is on the former.

WXC- Warrior Wednesday 2 (a.k.a., WXC 77) is a short card, with only four MMA fights total on the evening.

There were three cancellations prior to the Wednesday night card.

Willis Black vs. Tony Murphy for the promotion’s Welterweight championship was called off, as was a Bantamweight fight between Josh Smith and Shawn Mack, along with a catchweight fight at 130 lbs. against Jarred Brooks and Chris Johnson.

Johnson and Smith were rebooked on this card and will now meet head-to-head in a catchweight contest at 130 lbs.

Now, on to the fights that are taking place. Highlighting the Wednesday event is a Lightweight contest between 5-2 Mike Kuenhe and 3-1 Chris Brown.

Contender Comparison: Heading into this Wednesday’s main event, Chris Brown is the taller combatant, standing at 5-foot-11, an inch taller than Mike Kuehne’s 5-foot-10 frame.

Kuenhe has posted a mark of 3-2 in his last five fights and is currently on a two-fight winning streak. Last time, he won against Cameron Ramberg via first-round submission (guillotine choke) in Beatdown 21 on March 10, 2018.

In the other corner, dating back to his amateur MMA career, Brown has posted a 4-1 record in his last five MMA fights.

Most recently, he scored a unanimous decision victory against Warren Stewart in JacksonWink Fight Night 4 on Nov. 30.

At this point in the article, I would say who has the advantage in reach on the tale of the tape as per Tapology, but that information is not available for this particular fight.

Prediction: Brown by first-round knockout.

Aside from the previously-mentioned catchweight fight, these fights will appear on the card:

Mike Johnson (3-4) vs. Tim Eschtruth (4-1) [Lightweight, co-main event]

Keith Lee (3-3) vs. Tobiaus Taylor (3-2) [Bantamweight]
