Let’s take a break from the Milwaukee Bucks’ most impactful list from the past year for just a second. There have been rumors that the Bucks may look to move on from Jabari Parker and/or Eric Bledsoe heading into the upcoming 2019 season, according to veteran NBA journalist, Chris Sheridan.
Big Rumor in a Small City:
Now, that’s a big rumor for the city of Milwaukee and their fans. Bledsoe and Parker were two of the most important players on the roster from last season. According to the recent report from Sheridan, the Bucks are looking to please Giannis Antetokounmpo. He is their present and future centerpiece. Apparently the Greek Freak may prefer to play with other potential stars over the other two.
The whole situation is weird if you really think about it. One would think that a team with Khris Middleton, Antetokounmpo, Bledsoe and Parker would be more than just a first round exit, right? Even weirder, one would think that the four players would have the selflessness to be able to work together and form some type of winning chemistry, right?
What’s happening in Milwaukee?
Again, this is just a rumor. The fact that Antetokounmpo has commented right after the Bucks’ loss against the Boston Celtics that Parker will be in a Milwaukee uniform next season counters the idea of this rumor incompletely. Also, Mike Budenholzer is one hell of a coach, so it is highly possible that the man may be able to help the three play well off of each other.
For now though, July 1 is when the real deal starts the official beginning of free agency. Will Parker and Bledsoe be in different uniforms next season or will the same unit exist come October? Only time will tell. For now, let’s think about the Bucks draft results. Oh, don’t worry, we’ll have a complete recap for you come Monday morning.
