CAROLINA PANTHERS KEY PLAYER: CAM NEWTON

The key player on Carolina to watch is star quarterback Cam Newton, who will look to bounce back from a less-than-ideal performance last Sunday. To say Newton looked rusty last week is an understatement, as he missed multiple, simple throws including a wide open Ed Dickson in the end zone. “SuperCam” did miss the vast majority of training camp and preseason while he recovered from shoulder surgery on his partially-torn rotator cuff, but he will certainly look to be more accurate this Sunday now that he has one game under his belt.

BUFFALO BILLS KEY PLAYER: LESEAN MCCOY

The offense for Buffalo revolves around their elite running back, LeSean McCoy. “Shady” had 110 yards rushing on 22 carries and 5 receptions for 49 yards in last week’s 21-12 win against the New York Jets. The nine-year veteran is still one of the most elusive running backs in the league and the Bills will definitely look to get him going again on Sunday. Despite an injury scare last week with his wrist, McCoy is healthy and ready to go for Sunday. He will be a huge test for the Panthers’ run defense.

GAME PREVIEW AND ANALYSIS

The Panthers’ offense is coming off an up-and-down performance in San Francisco. Expect Cam Newton to find his rhythm early and have a huge game on Sunday as he throws for over 300 yards. Rookie running back Christian McCaffrey was used in a variety of ways last week and you should see more of the same this weekend. The Panthers’ defense was rolling on all cylinders last week, and they will look to repeat that performance against a Bills offense that features some talented players like LeSean McCoy, Jordan Matthews, and former East Carolina star Zay Jones. Mike Tolbert will also be making his return to Charlotte after he spent the past five seasons as a Carolina Panther.

GAME PREDICTION: Panthers 27, Bills 16
