As many in the Orlando Magic fan base know, Markelle Fultz was traded to the Magic in February of the 2018-2019 season. In addition, many knew that Fultz would not be able to immediately contribute to the Magic due to his injuries when he was a former player for the Philadelphia 76ers.

It has been over a month since the Magic were in the playoffs and close to three months since the Fultz trade. That brings us to the question of the day. “How is Fultz currently doing and will we see him play this upcoming season?”

The current situation

Currently, we don’t know. However, we can speculate how Fultz’s rehabilitation and therapy is going, based on his social media presence and any other news about him.

In mid-May during the NBA Draft Combine, a few reporters asked head coach Steve Clifford on how Fultz is doing. Clifford stated that Fultz is now training with Magic assistants to strengthen his shoulder and make improvements. However, Clifford made no mention on a concrete time on when to see Fultz suit up in a Magic uniform.

While this isn’t exactly good news, it’s not bad news either. The fact that Fultz is progressing is something to look forward to.

Another thing we can look at for any indication on how Fultz is progressing would be his social media accounts.

Starting off with his Twitter account, Fultz left a cryptic message: “5/30/19” with the prayer hands emoji next to the date. Hopefully it means that Fultz is cleared to join the Magic, but if that isn’t the case, maybe Fultz is excited for the new Godzilla film coming at the end of the month.

Additionally, going to Fultz’s Instagram account shows that he only has three posts. He earlier had more posts that showed him in his Sixers jersey, as well as other posts. Now, the only posts that he has left are three posts from the summer of 2018. Two of them showing him working out, while the other deals with the importance of mental health.

Obviously this is all speculation. It’s best to see what will happen in the next few days to see if Fultz will post a follow-up tweet explaining his “5/30/19” post.

My name is Jonathan David and I am from a small town called Green Cove Springs, located in northeast Florida. Originally from Miami, Florida, my family moved up north, as I was entering the fourth grade. Once we moved, I eventually started getting into sports a lot more. I did soccer, basketball and running and pole-vaulting; however, the main sport that I pretty much keep up with is, basketball, specifically the NBA. Although I’ll occasionally watch track and field if it’s on ESPN. There were many reasons why I got into basketball, besides it looking like fun, one reason was because I wanted to be like Bugs Bunny from Space Jam, not Michael Jordan, but Bugs Bunny, and while my dream of being an animated character hasn’t panned out, I still enjoy playing and watching the sport. My favorite NBA team is the Orlando Magic, and I’ve been a fan since Lebron was in Miami, so when they eventually get good, people can’t say I’m a bandwagon fan.
