News got out over the weekend that Freshman Bronson Boyd has been dismissed from the football program.

The full details of the “incident” have yet to be reported. Tech senior associate athletic director, Robert Giovannetti, officially stated on Saturday “I do not know the full details yet,” … “I’ve just been told we can confirm he is no longer on the team.” Rumor has it that he was involved in an altercation with a teammate, Will Farrar, also the early enrollee.

Boyd was a 3* out of Arlington Oakridge, where he caught 61 passes and eight touchdowns during his senior season. This is another huge blow to the program, shortly following the transfer announcement of DT Breiden Fehoko. Interestingly, Boyd was offered by Nebraska just three days ago, despite already being enrolled and on campus. Maybe they might still be interested?
