Texas Tech Red Raiders

Omaha in Review
For the third time in five years, the Texas Tech Red Raiders found themselves in Omaha fighting for a national title. They would knock off the reigning champion Florida Gators to open their play in Omaha, 6-3. They outplayed one of the best in Brady Singer, making him pay for small mistakes and missed pitches. That sent the Gators to the losers bracket and had the Red Raiders sitting pretty. However, that level of celebration would be short lived.
The Red Raiders found themselves facing off against the Arkansas Razorbacks, a favorite to win the national championship. That game did not go the way of Texas Tech, despite a strong fight from the Red Raiders. They fell 7-4 and were set for an elimination game the next day, against the Florida Gators. Texas Tech fought tooth and nail against the Gators, never giving up until the last strike was called. However, they would fall 9-6 to end their stint in Omaha.
Our season comes to an end with a 9-6 loss to No. 1 Florida, at the College World Series.
