Tennessee QB Sheriron Jones transferring to Colorado

Redshirt Freshman QB Sheriron Jones announced Thursday that he would be transferring to Colorado. Jones, a former 4-star recruit, is originally from Moreno Valley, CA, and was a former Florida Gators commit before flipping to Tennessee before National Signing Day.

With Josh Dobbs returning and highly touted QB Jarrett Guarantano set to enroll this summer, many expected one of Jones or fellow freshman Quinten Dormady to transfer, with Jones being the more likely of the two. Due to NCAA transfer policy, Jones will have to sit out a year before becoming eligible to play for the Buffs. Jones will have three years of remaining eligibility beginning in 2017.
