The Tallahassee Regional between Florida State, Auburn, Kennesaw State, and Jacksonville State came to a conclusion today. Today as expected the Florida State Lady Seminoles earned the right to be called the Tallahassee Regional Champions. Kylee Hanson had a dominating performance with a no hitter on Friday and almost had a perfect game today. FSU has now won 16 straight regional games, dating back to 2013.
The Lady Noles are currently projected to host LSU next week who is ahead in the Baton Rouge regional. The hashtag #opportunity that has been the motto for the team cannot be stressed enough. Last season LSU came to Tallahassee for the Super Regionals and ended up defeating the Noles to head towards the Women’s College World Series. Mostly due to FSU not capitalizing on the #opportunity and stranding too many base runners.
This series should display the pitching power for both teams, and should come down to three games again. Allie Walljasper will be the opponent player to watch as she pitched a gem this weekend against Houston.
