The Philadelphia 76ers are taking its game international when it takes on the Boston Celtics on Thursday in London.

Despite losing a home game because of this trip, this is a great opportunity for the Sixers to show the world what Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons are about.

In today’s NBA, it’s important for teams and players to build their international brand.

The right time for this trip

The Sixers want to show off their skills to those who may not see them or even know of the team.

This is the best time for it considering the Sixers playing great basketball. Possibly the best basketball this team has played all year.

They have won five out of their last six games and defeated the Detroit Pistons by 36 points on Friday.

Simmons scored 11 early points because he attacked the paint. The Pistons just didn’t have an answer for him and the Sixers pulled away early and never looked back.

Hopefully Simmons takes that approach not only for this game but for the rest of the season.

Team bonding

Another great part of this trip is the team bonding that has occurred.

They are far from home and its important they spend time together having fun in a different environment.

For a young team that doesn’t have much experience on the court, this trip could work wonders for the Sixers.

The game is scheduled for Jan. 11 at 3:00 p.m. EST in London’s O2 Arena.
