The San Francisco Giants and the Baltimore Orioles square off for a three-game series this weekend at AT&T Park. The Giants are coming off a 4-5 road trip, on which they lost two of three games to both the Philadelphia Phillies and the Washington Nationals. However, they followed up by taking two of three from the Miami Marlins. The other orange and black team, the Orioles have also been struggling as of late, dropping three of four to the Oakland A’s.

Brandon Crawford, SS, Giants
In his last seven games, Brandon Crawford is batting .387/.394/.581 with a one home run and five RBI’s. In the series against Miami, hCrawford went 9-for-16 including a historic seven-hit night at the plate in San Francisco’s 14-inning, 8-7 win over the Marlins.
Adam Jones, CF, Orioles
Jones is batting .400/.406/.533 over his last seven games as he takes his hot bat into the weekend series with the Giants. He went 8-for-17 in the four-game series with the A’s. Jones is hitting .300 in 100 at-bats post All-Star break.
Dylan Bundy, SP, Orioles
Since the All-Star break, Bundy has posted a 3-2 record with a 3.00 ERA in 27.0 IP. Bundy has struck out 33 batters over that span and has held batters to a .177 BA.
Matt Cain, SP, Giants
Overall, Cain has had a disappointing year as he tries to regain some of his old form. Cain has posted a 4-6 record with a 5.16 ERA in 15 starts this year. Don’t let the numbers fool you, in his last two starts, Cain has pitched 10 shutout innings combined in two starts against the red-hot Washington Nationals. Because of his recent success, Cain will be heading into his Friday start with a new level of confidence as he faces off against one of the league’s best hitting teams.
