The Los Angeles Rams orchestrated a trade for Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters today. The deal will not be official until March 14 and the Chiefs will receive draft picks from L.A.

Peters will join a Rams’ secondary that struggled at times during last season while enduring some injuries. The two-time Pro Bowler is slated to be the top cornerback on the team and should work across from Kayvon Webster.

Peters is heading into his fourth season and will count as $3.05 million against the cap, but has been named an All Pro and made the Pro Bowl each of the past two seasons. The Rams also have until May 3rd to pick up his fifth-year option.

The Kansas City Chiefs will now look to newly acquired cornerbacks Kendall Fuller and David Amerson and to step up.

I’m a Denver, Colorado native that loves almost all sports. I have a beautiful daughter that means the world to me and she also loves to watch sports. Sometimes I can be very opinionated when debating or discussing sports, but if you love a team you will definitely debate it out to the fullest. I like to be adventurous and experience the outdoors, play sports with friends, golf when I have the time and experience new foods and activities. I also want to visit other ballparks and stadiums to support Colorado teams and experience the culture at those venues. So feel free to debate or discuss sports with me anytime even if we don’t agree.
