With just ten days until National Signing Day, James Franklin and Co. have locked down a big commitment out of Virginia as linebacker Ellis Brooks (ILB – Benedictine College Preparatory) committed to the Nittany Lions this morning. Brooks, the 13th best LB in the class, will fill the vacant spot that was left after fellow Virginia linebacker Dylan Rivers flipped his commitment to Virginia Tech last week. It’s no secret that Franklin and his staff have had their fair share of troubles when it has come to recruiting linebackers recently. Hopefully Brooks’s commitment is a sign of good things to come. Brooks (6’1″ 225 Lbs.) will enroll on campus this fall and will look to fight for playing time as a true freshman.

  1. Penn State is going to be good for years. James Franklin is an outstanding coach. I mean the dude won at Vanderbilt. I was even skeptical after his first few mediocre seasons at Penn State, but he surely shut all the doubters up last season.
