For Ohio State fans, the Michigan game will always be The Game. But, for recruiting, this is it. This is the game that everyone has been waiting for. The Nittany Lions from State College, Pennsylvania versus the Buckeyes from Columbus, Ohio.
This Saturday, the Horseshoe will see eight recruits stretch the sidelines, only two of whom are already committed. Sevyn Banks and Brian Sneed, cornerback and running back respectively, already plan to land in Columbus next fall. The other six recruits all have Ohio State as one of their finalists. For Tyreke Smith, 247 Sports projects that the Buckeyes are neck and neck with Penn State. Let’s take a look at each of these players making an appearance in Columbus this Saturday.
Banks is a 6-1, four-star defensive back out of Orlando, Florida. Banks committed to Ohio State back on April 26th, but this will be his first official visit to Ohio State.
Brian Sneed is a 5-11, four-star running back from Seffner, Florida. Sneed is ranked fourth in the country at his position and is in the top 100 overall. Sneed committed on July 22nd, and also has attended numerous Ohio State camps.
Jackson Carman is a 6-6, five-star offensive tackle from Fairfield, Ohio. Carman is ranked both first at his position, and first overall in the state of Ohio. Carman is also considering Southern California and Clemson.
Christopher Oats is a 6-4, four-star linebacker from Cincinnati, Ohio. Oats breaks the top 10 in Ohio, as well as the top 20 at his position nationally. He is also considering Ole Miss, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Michigan State.
Babb is a 6-1, four-star wide receiver from Saint Louis. Ninth at his position and first in the state, Babb is also considering Michigan and Oklahoma. However, 247 Sports gives the Buckeyes a 100 percent chance of landing the young receiver.
Tyreke Johnson is a safety out of Jacksonville, Florida. Johnson is a four-star ranked 38th nationally and fourth at his position. Johnson is also looking at UCLA, Clemson, Florida, and Georgia.
Tyreke Smith is a four-star defensive end from Cleveland, Ohio. While 247 lists five possible schools for Smith, the percentages land squarely on Ohio State and Penn State. His pinned tweet remains a post about the Buckeyes from June, and he has been quite vocal about the Buckeyes leading up to their matchup against Penn State.

Last, but certainly not least, is five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer. Coming from Atlanta, Georgia, Salyer is leaning heavily on committing to the Bulldogs. However, the Buckeyes aren’t completely out of the picture yet with Salyer coming to town Saturday.
With an average star rating over 4.25, and overall rating of 0.9593, this will certainly . e a huge weekend for Urban Meyer; both on the field and off. This game will surely go a long way in the minds of recruits not only present, but across the country.
