The Buckeyes made a splash in 2020 recruiting this week after it was announced on Twitter that 4-star offensive tackle Jake Wray was verbally committing to Ohio State. Wray is from Marietta, Georgia and played at Marietta High School after transferring high schools in the off-season after his freshman year. Wray originally lived in Franklin, Tenn. before making the move to Georgia. Wray’s brother Max is currently an offensive tackle for the Buckeyes. Right now, Wray is the 14thranked offensive tackle in the class of 2020. The Buckeyes now have three commitments in the class of 2020.
Antoine Sampah and Hudson Card Receive Offers
Antoine Sampah: Sampah is a a 6-1.5 and 203 pound inside linebacker who plays at Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, Virginia. Sampah is a part of the class of 2019 and has been offered by 19 teams so far. Sampah is a very good size for his position and he also has elite speed. Something that really separates him is that he is a good tackler and is able to contain speedy offensive players. He has not yet been ranked by 247 sports, but you can see that he is talent just by watching his highlights. Some other notable offers that he has received outside of Ohio State are Alabama, Penn State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and LSU.
Hudson Card: Card is a 6-2, 170 pound dual-threat quarterback out of Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. He is from the same high school as the newest Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, and played behind one of the Buckeyes current quarterbacks Mathew Baldwin. Card can do it all on offense and did just that for Lake Travis this past season. He threw the ball 84 times and completed 57 of his passes for 597yards and six touchdowns. Card also threw three interceptions. He rushed the ball 64 times for 491 yards and six touchdowns. Card also played a little wide receiver during the season prior and had 69 receptions for 1137 yards and 13 touchdowns. 247 has Card ranked 2nd at his position for the class of 2020.
