No. 1 QB in 2017 Class, McCaffrey commits to Michigan

The rich just keep getting richer.

And no, that is not a testament to Michigan football, even though it very well could be– in much credit to head coach Jim Harbaugh’s impressive 2016 recruiting class( #5 overall class according to

It is a reference to the McCaffrey family. Ed and Lisa’s family. Who have two sons who currently play collegiate football, Max (Duke), Christian (Stanford), and one son, Dylan, who just committed to play his college football in Ann Arbor for the Michigan Wolverines.

Dylan McCaffrey, who is the number one overall rated quarterback in the 2017 class, chose the Wolverines over (shocker) Stanford and Duke.

The 6 foot 5, 200 pounder out of Valor Christian (Colo.), threw for 2800 and 27 touchdowns last year in his junior season for the Eagles and has the maize and blue faithful, and his All-American running back brother, excited about the future of Michigan football under Harbaugh.

So, adding to their family’s list of sports achievements, an Olympic Gold Medal, three Super Bowl rings, an NCAA basketball championship, and a Heisman finalist, the McCaffrey’s add one more: the nations top recruit.

And they are just getting started.

The youngest McCaffrey, Luke, will be a sophomore at Valor Christian next fall.
