Dimitri Douglas took to Twitter to announce his commitment to Michigan State on Monday. The pledge makes Douglas the first offensive tackle in the 2018 recruiting class for Coach Mark Dantonio and the Spartans.

Douglas, a 3 star out of Saline High School (Saline, MI), adds some much needed depth and size to the offensive line, standing at 6’4″ and 280 pounds.

Douglas is ranked as the 130th offensive tackle by 247 Sports and is the Spartans’ ninth commitment for 2018.

Journalism major, and junior hockey player. I can probably chirp better than you but that’s about it, so I got something going for me there. I was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area, so I have quickly adopted the term ‘Detroit vs Everybody’, especially when the Lions flame out every year because “the refs blew the game.” Die hard Detroit sports fan but at the end of the day, Michigan State athletics holds the key to my heart and trumps everyone else. #SpartyOn
