Minnesota ruled senior quarterback Mitch Leidner out for their game at Maryland Saturday.
The Gophers, coming off a tough loss to Iowa last week, released their depth chart today and determined Leidner can’t play, though there is no word on the exact injury.

In fact, according to the Star Tribune, Minnesota coach Tracy Claeys said Leidner was not banged up, however, he had not yet spoken with the medical staff regarding the quarterback.
The Gophers plan on starting former walk-on Conor Rhoda. Leidner will leave a big gap, as he already has over 1,000 yards and five touchdowns under his belt, and his experience as a senior is invaluable.
The Terps, meanwhile, also released their depth chart, and have no major changes. Though quarterback Perry Hills left the loss against Penn State last week early with a shoulder injury, he is expected to recover and start for Maryland as they look to rebound.
