Following a loss against the Washington Wizards, a team that the Orlando Magic beat just two games before, there was a sense of uncertainty on whether or not the Magic will be able to beat the Philadelphia 76ers. That was Jimmy Butler‘s first game with his new team since his trade.

While Butler was scheduled to play, on his first away game against the hosting Magic, another player was expected to make an appearance during the game, Jonathan Isaac.

Isaac, who hadn’t seen any action since the Magic hosted the Los Angeles Clippers in early November, mentioned how eager he was to suit up for the team’s home game.

“It feels great and I’m super-excited to be back,” Isaac said. “I get to get back out there and put the jersey on again and I don’t have to be in a suit no more. It feels good.”

Magic vs. 76ers

Once the game started, the Magic and Sixers were going back and forth. Philadelphia led after the first quarter, 30-27.

However, going into the halftime, the Magic were able to pull through with a three-point lead, 53-50.

Once the third quarter started, the 76ers commanded a strong lead, outscoring the Magic and ending the quarter, 87-76.

What gave the Magic an edge to start the fourth quarter would be how many of the players such as Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier contributed baskets. Not to mention, Isaac’s surprise block on the Joel Embiid.

Additional scoring came in the form of Terrence Ross’ 3-pointers, as he shot three after three, allowing the Magic to end the game with a 111-106 win.

Magic vs. Lakers

While the Magic are taking a much needed rest following Wednesday’s win, catch their next home game against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m.

My name is Jonathan David and I am from a small town called Green Cove Springs, located in northeast Florida. Originally from Miami, Florida, my family moved up north, as I was entering the fourth grade. Once we moved, I eventually started getting into sports a lot more. I did soccer, basketball and running and pole-vaulting; however, the main sport that I pretty much keep up with is, basketball, specifically the NBA. Although I’ll occasionally watch track and field if it’s on ESPN. There were many reasons why I got into basketball, besides it looking like fun, one reason was because I wanted to be like Bugs Bunny from Space Jam, not Michael Jordan, but Bugs Bunny, and while my dream of being an animated character hasn’t panned out, I still enjoy playing and watching the sport. My favorite NBA team is the Orlando Magic, and I’ve been a fan since Lebron was in Miami, so when they eventually get good, people can’t say I’m a bandwagon fan.
