What a weekend for Kentucky sports, a curse was broken and the basketball hype continues to rise. Here’s what happened:
The Gators finally go down.
It’s been a long 31 years since the Kentucky Wildcats football program has beaten the Florida Gators. Just like that, the streak is over. The Cats finally snapped their losing streak and now the hype for this team is starting to go through the roof. The defense was stellar, especially in the second half where they only gave up 6 points. Now, it’s time to move forward and build off of this, because the schedule doesn’t get any easier.
The official Kentucky basketball schedule is set.
Everything is finalized in terms of games for Kentucky basketball this year. We will be treated to many classics as they play teams like Kansas, North Carolina, Duke and Louisville in their non-conference schedule. This may be the toughest non-conference schedule the Cats have seen under the Calipari era, but if you ask Coach Cal, it’s exactly what he wants. It’s going to be a great season and all of BBN should be excited.
Kentucky basketball offers 2019 4 star Zeke Nnaji
On Sunday, John Calipari met with Zeke Nnaji for an in-home visit. During that meeting, Nnaji received a scholarship offer from Kentucky. Zeke is a 6-foot-10, 215 pound big man who’s extremely versatile and can hurt you from all different areas of the floor. He’s lengthy, fast, and can pull up on a dime. Expect Zeke’s ranking to continue to creep up during his senior season. Other teams to watch out for in his recruitment are; Kansas, Arizona, Ohio State and UCLA.
