This weekend was a big mix of both basketball and football excitement for the Kentucky sports program. Here’s everything that came out of this weekend:

Wandale Robinson cuts his list to 6, Kentucky included

Popular in-state 2019 recruit, nationally ranked 315th, RB Wandale Robinson cut his list to 6 and the Cats made the cut. Other teams that made the cut include; Alabama, Michigan, Purdue, Ohio State, and Nebraska. Wandale is an explosive back, and is actually listed as an all-purpose back which means he can play many different styles. There are a lot of big-time names on the list, but Wandale growing up in Frankfort definitely helps the Cats chances. Good luck to Robinson as he is about to begin his senior season!

The Peach Jam was full of future Wildcats

This weekend was the Nike EYBL finals at the Peach Jam in Atlanta Georgia, and a lot of future/potential Kentucky Basketball stars made their mark on the weekend. DJ Jeffries made the biggest impact as he had his best night in front of John Calipari. He was on the same team as potential Kentucky Wildcat and #1 player in the country, James Wiseman. Seeing all of these guys out there together has to get BBN pumped for what 2019 is going to bring.

Tyrese Maxey is on a mission

Ever since Tyrese committed to Kentucky in May, he has been busy helping Calipari recruit even more top talent for the 2019 class. This weekend he made sure to be in top talents ears like James Wiseman and Cole Anthony. Tyrese has been on fire ever since his commitment. Now that there’s no pressure on him, he’s able to hone in on his skills and showcase to every player what it could be like if they join him in Lexington. Let’s see who he can reel in!

My name is Tj Barnett and I am an avid sports fan. I grew up in Louisville, KY (don’t worry, I’d rather run my head through a thousand brick walls than be a UofL fan). Ever since I was 2 years old, I was rocking UK booties and mumbling the fight song. It was all UK basketball until I discovered the Cincinnati Bengals and the Reds in ’05 then the Miami Heat in ’06. Ever since then, I’ve lived and breathed sports! My Twitter account is where I avidly voice my opinion in relation to sports, and I’m always ready for a good argument.
