Another weekend goes by and we see some exciting stuff come out for Kentucky sports!

Here’s everything you need to know:

The NBA Draft was a success!

All the talk this weekend surrounded the NBA Draft and which Cats ended up where. To recap where each Cat stands now; Knox went 9th to the Knicks, Shai went 11th to the Clippers, Vanderbilt went 41st to the Magic, and Hami went 45th to the Thunder. Wenyen Gabriel was the only player from Kentucky who didn’t get selected, but, expect to see him on a summer league roster. Overall, Cal has to be happy with the results. Congrats to all of these guys as they pursue their dream at the next level!

Bovada has named Kentucky the favorite to win 2019 NCAA Championship.

After the huge addition of Reid Travis last week to Kentucky’s roster, Vegas has now pushed the Cats to the head of charge for next years NCAA Champion. The Cats are at +600 while Duke is close behind at +650. That early November game is getting more and more exciting as the Cats have built their roster up like no one could’ve imagined. These odds are deserved as the Cats now have two players at each position that should get minutes on the floor. Anyone remember 2014-2015?!

Kentucky Basketball has their first team meeting of the season.

This weekend the whole team took a trip on a RJ Corman train across the heart of Kentucky. On the ride, they all sat together and discussed some plans for the upcoming season. This is the first time we’ve seen the full roster for 2018-2019 come together. The excitement for this team continues to rise as the media continues to hype them up. Hopefully John Calipari is able to get these guys ready for a wild season full of expectations and hardship. Let’s go BBN!

Ever since I was 2 years old, I was rocking UK booties and mumbling the fight song. It was all UK basketball until I discovered the Cincinnati Bengals and the Reds in ’05 then the Miami Heat in ’06. Ever since then, I’ve lived and breathed sports! My Twitter account is where I avidly voice my opinion in relation to sports, and I’m always ready for a good argument.
