The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing their final two games without former Head Coach Gus Bradley. The Jaguars fired Bradley following the 21-20 loss against the Houston Texans. Doug Marrone is now the man calling the shots for the Jaguars. He will most likely not get the full time job next season, but could make an impression in these final two games. His first test comes against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans beat the Jaguars earlier in the season 36-22. This score is not fully accurate to how the Jaguars played as 14 of their 22 points came in garbage time. The Jaguars will look to put on a better performance in this game against the Titans.

The Jaguars’ defense is coming off of their best game of the season. They will need to have another great game against one of the best rushing teams in the league. The Titans kill teams with their dual rushing attack of DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. The Titans rushed for a total of 214 yards earlier in the season. LaMar Miller did not have much success against the Jags last week and the Jags’ defense will look to do the same against the Titans.

The Jaguars also did not have success stopping the passing game. The Titans only threw the ball 23 times, completing 19, but they had roughly 15 yards per pass. They totaled 280 passing yards with Marcus Mariota and Matt Cassel at QB. This Jaguars’ defense is able to stop the pass attack though. They currently rank 4th in the league with 210.6 passing yards allowed per game. They have been beat deep on a few plays in the last few weeks, but they are still a really good pass defense.

There is good news for the Jaguars though. Chris Ivory should be fully healthy for this game. He returned to action last week as the Jags’ leading rusher. The Jaguars’ rushing game was almost non-existent in their first matchup against the Titans as they got behind early. They only had 11 total rushes with 4 of them being scrambles from Blake Bortles. The Jaguars need to establish a rushing attack with Ivory early. To do this the Jaguars will need to trust Ivory to pick up yards and for the defense to keep the Titans off the board.

Bortles will also need to produce. He has had a difficult time getting the offense going. There have been accuracy issues and turnover issues. Allen Robinson did have a good game against the Texans, but Bortles might need to look at Marqise Lee and Bryan Walters to gain yards. Both Lee and Walters have stepped up to be big time players with Allen Hurns’ injury and Robinson’s ineffectiveness.

Jalen Ramsey had himself a breakout game last week. He got his first career interception and broke up several passes. He should be very motivated to win this game.

Ramsey would love to get a win at the Jaguars’ last home game of the season. He is a player that can make a difference on the field and could pose troubles for Mariota. Kendall Wright had himself a great game against the Jaguars in their first matchup with 87 yards on 4 catches with 1 touchdown. Ramsey will look to limit the deep plays by Wright.

This is a difficult game for the Jaguars. The Titans are playing with a lot of determination as they are fighting for the AFC South, but the Jaguars are also playing with a lot of determination. They have yet to win a game at EverBank Field this year and will look to send the home crowd home happy in the last home game. A lot of the players feel responsible for Bradley’s firing as well as they don’t think they played their best. The Jaguars will want to play their best in this game and prove what they are capable of.
