#1 CONNECTICUT HUSKIES

The Huskies look to clinch their 11th straight Final Four appearance on Monday. To get there, they will have to beat the defending national champions. Head coach Geno Auriemma said the Huskies already proved at South Carolina that they are a really good team (beating the Gamecocks by 25 points in February). The challenge of this tournament is that now we have to prove it again, Auriemma said.

#2 SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS

After giving up 26 turnovers to Buffalo on Saturday, the Gamecocks realize they must cut down on turnovers to have a chance Monday. Head coach Dawn Staley said, “We have to take care of the ball. If we don’t we’ll get run out of the gym.”

A’ja Wilson has done a lot in her career at South Carolina. She’s set several school records, won four straight SEC Tournament titles and a national championship. Wilson has never beat UCONN. She’ll get one last chance on Monday.

PREDICTION: Connecticut 74, South Carolina 63

It will take a near perfect game by South Carolina to beat UCONN. The Huskies should win this one, but it won’t be as easy as last time.
