The final score between the game between Team Australia and Team France is in, with France losing by just a basket, 98–100.

Even though France’s top scorers, Evan Fournier and Nando de Colo were able to contribute 31 points and 26 points, it still wasn’t enough to overcome Australia’s offense, which had more players contributing offensively.

In addition, when looking at the stats of the game, Australia was able to out-rebound France by six rebounds. France was able to only snag 20 rebounds, whereas Australia ended with 26 rebounds.

While France may have gone down a notch in its group, (Group L), it still can improve in order to make it to the next round; however, looking at the schedule, France’s next obstacle will be Team USA.

What makes Team USA difficult, is the fact that it currently has a record that is 5–0, with a recent victory over Team Brazil, 89–73.

Also, when looking at Team USA’s past games for this year’s competition, many of its games were fairly close; not to mention that not many of its players average 20 points a game.

This insight may give Team France ideas on how to tackle its opponents this upcoming Wednesday, possible changes could be defensively, offensively or even both.

If France is able to win against the U.S., then it will be able to advance towards the semi-finals, facing off against the winner of the game between Argentina and Serbia, teams that have similar records to both France and the US.

France will play against the US, Wednesday at 7 a.m. EST.

My name is Jonathan David and I am from a small town called Green Cove Springs, located in northeast Florida. Originally from Miami, Florida, my family moved up north, as I was entering the fourth grade. Once we moved, I eventually started getting into sports a lot more. I did soccer, basketball and running and pole-vaulting; however, the main sport that I pretty much keep up with is, basketball, specifically the NBA. Although I’ll occasionally watch track and field if it’s on ESPN. There were many reasons why I got into basketball, besides it looking like fun, one reason was because I wanted to be like Bugs Bunny from Space Jam, not Michael Jordan, but Bugs Bunny, and while my dream of being an animated character hasn’t panned out, I still enjoy playing and watching the sport. My favorite NBA team is the Orlando Magic, and I’ve been a fan since Lebron was in Miami, so when they eventually get good, people can’t say I’m a bandwagon fan.
