The Florida Gators have landed 4-star cornerback Jaydon Hill for the 2019 season.
Hill comes to the Gators from Madison, Alabama where he currently plays at Bob Jones High School. He will come to Gainesville after completing his senior year.
He announced his commitment Thursday a Tweet that said, “The Wait Is Over……… This One For You Grandad, Rest In Peace….”
The Wait Is Over………
The tweet also included a link to his commitment video that he dedicated to his grandfather. The video features his family reminiscing on his childhood and his path to success as well as shots of the work he has put in to get where he is now.
The video ends with Hill placing a Gators ball cap on his grandfather’s headstone.
Hill is the second cornerback to commit to the Gators for the class of 2019. The first was 3-star corner Chester Kimbrough out of New Orleans, Louisiana.
He stands at 6-0 and 174 pounds. He runs a 4.59 40-yard-dash, so he is able to keep up with receivers and put pressure on them.
His commitment to the Gators is exciting for fans. Any addition to Florida’s pass rush is great for the team, but someone like Hill is an added bonus.
He is currently ranked as the No. 27 cornerback in the country for the class of 2019. His highlight reel shows an impressive ability to break up passes and intimidate receivers. He will be a great addition to the team.
Hill is more proof that Dan Mullen and his coaching staff have impressive recruiting techniques. On both sides of the ball, they are bringing in impressive recruits that will change game day in Gainesville for years to come.
Hill is set to visit the swamp on October 6 for the game against SEC rival LSU.
