Last week on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, a couple of first-round knockouts netted two free agents their UFC contracts.

After scoring a first-round knockout versus DaShawn Boatwright just eight seconds into the match (the quickest stoppage in the history of the program,) Alonzo Menifield was given a deal by Dana White.

Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy was put on a developmental deal with UFC after knocking out Austen Lane in 57 seconds.

This week, 10 more free agents get a shot at impressing Dana White as the second season continues Tuesday.

Headlining the second episode is a three-round main event match pitting Matt “Robo” Sayles (6-1-0) versus Yazan “Yazzle Dazzle” Hajeh (6-0-0). NOTE: All main events on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series are three rounds in length.

Sayles comes in off a knockout victory in the first round of the main event of CFFC 64 vs. Christian Aguilera. Hajeh’s most recent victory came via decision in LFA 21 versus Oscar Valdez.

Sayles has a tendency to score the knockout early, as five of his six victories have been scored by either knockout or technical knockout.

In addition, two of his three amateur matches have come via knockout or technical knockout. His only non-knockout victory in the amateur ranks was a submission victory against Dominick Griffen in Xplode Amateur Fight Series: XAFS 1: Revolution.

Hajeh has had four of his six professional fights go to decision, by comparison. His last knockout victory came in April of 2016 in KCFA- Kansas City Fighting Alliance 18 versus Jacob Akin.

Sayles by knockout here.

The other fights on the card are Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez (6-0-0)  versus Jordan “The Beverly Hills Ninja” Wright (9-0-0), Giga Chikadze (5-1-0) versus Austin Springer (10-3-0), Ryan “Superman” Spann (10-5-0) versus Emiliano “He-Man” Sordi (16-6-0), and Dwight “The Body Snatcher” Grant versus Tyler “Zombie” Hill.
