GAME PREVIEW AND ANALYSIS
This is a game that both of these teams need, badly. Neither are having the season that they expected, the Dallas Cowboys more so as they sit with a losing record. Although, no matter how much people want it to be true, losing this game will not be the end of Jason Garrett’s tenure with the Cowboys. At this point, Jerry Jones is enjoying having a coach who does what is asked of him and won’t let that go anytime soon. All we can pray for is that by the end of the season, the Cowboys staff acknowledges that it is time to move on.
In terms of this matchup though, it will be focused on quarterback play. Dak Prescott has to step his game up. There is no ifs, and’s or buts about it. He has not been the quarterback he once was and that is weighing heavily on his team. To start, he will need to be the leader his team needs. That means to make plays where it seems like there isn’t one available. Recently, Prescott has all but abandoned his personal run game- an aspect of his playing style that paid off big time in the first year of his career. Carson Wentz will come to play- will Dak be able to match that?
The Cowboys defense simply needs to continue what they have been doing. The unit, led by Demarcus Lawrence, has actually been a strong suit for the ‘Boys this season and if they continue playing at the level they have been maybe- just maybe- the offense will catch up sooner or later.
