After nine weeks of action on Dana White’s Contender Series, the season is just about done, but not before the final card of the season this week.

Last Tuesday was a lean night in the contract department as Dana White only awarded a single contract to Phillip Rowe after his performance in the main event.

Heading into this Tuesday’s season finale (8 p.m. EDT, 5 p.m. PDT, ESPN+ [USA] and UFC Fight Pass [internationally], 27 MMA free agents (counting developmental deals) have scored contracts to fight in the UFC.

Let’s talk about that season finale, highlighted by a Middleweight fight between Dusko Todorovic (8-0) and Teddy Ash (14-4). This will be a champion vs. champion fight.

More on that in a moment.

As has been the case all season long on Contender Series, this fight is a maximum of three rounds at five minutes per round.

Contender Comparison:

Heading into the final fight of the season, both contestants in this Middleweight fixture stand level at 6-foot-1.

Dusko Todorovic has yet to lose in his professional MMA career, including three wins in succession via knockout.

Most recently, he scored a first-round knockout against Michael Pereira on Dec. 1, 2018 in Serbian Battle Championship 19: Revenge! to win the promotion’s Middleweight title.

In the other corner, Teddy Ash has gone 4-1 in his last five MMA appearances and enters Tuesday’s main event on a two-fight winning streak.

Most recently, the veteran of the Unified MMA promotion scored a first-round TKO due to unanswered strikes vs. Neil Berry in Unified MMA 37 on May 24 in the co-main event to claim the promotion’s Light Heavyweight championship.

Ordinarily, we’d mention who has the reach advantage on the tale of the tape as per Tapology, but no such information exists on the site.

Prediction: Dusko Todorovic by first-round knockout.

Four other fights make up the season finale:

Kalian Hill (5-0) vs. Impa Kasanganay (5-0) [Middleweight, co-main event]

Sang Hoon Yoo (5-0) vs. Peter Barrett (10-3) [Lightweight]

Ben Sosoli (7-2) vs. Dustin Joynson (5-0) [Heavyweight]

Dylan Lockard (6-1) vs. TJ Brown (13-6) [Featherweight]
