The Titans sucked today. Period.
I mean there’s nothing else to say about it. The coaching sucked, the offense sucked, the defense sucked and special teams sucked. Everything sucked and everyone was terrible. If you missed the game, here’s a rundown of what you (didn’t) miss.
The Titans offense had the ball first and moved down the field well until the drive stalled. Mariota was sacked and the Titans punted the ball back over to the father of the Tennessee Titans, Andrew Luck. Luck and the Colts didn’t do anything on that drive as they punted it right back to the Titans. Next drive? Four letters, P-U-N-T. Catching the trend so far?
The Colts did strike first however as they were set up deep in Titans territory after a penalty called back what would have been a special teams touchdown by Chester Rodgers. The Colts got down inside the Titans 5-yard line and got the first seven of the game thanks to a 1-yard Marlon Mack touchdown. The next Titans drive ended in even worse fashion than the first two drives, as Marcus Mariota eyed Jonnu Smith and was intercepted by Quincy Wilson.
The Titans let up a field goal right after what seemed like this game was getting out of control. The Colts then led 10-0 and you might’ve thought “this has to get better right?”, WRONG. Adoree’ Jackson got beat by T.Y. Hilton down the field for a 68-yard touchdown and things only got worse from there.
The Titans went 3 and out (again). Luck and company then attacked Adoree’ Jackson immediately and got rewarded as Jackson interfered with Hilton down the field. The Colts then scored again courtesy of a Jordan Wilkins touchdown run from 18 yards out. The Titans got the ball back desperately looking for a spark. Titans got a field goal to end the half, but Marcus Mariota got hurt before halftime and appeared to re-aggravate the nerve injury he suffered in week 1.
Mariota stayed on the sideline and Blaine Gabbert finished the game. There’s not much to discuss other than a painfully awful interception by Gabbert. I have no words for this.

Daddy Luck spanked the Titans some more. Game over.
NEXT: The Titans play on Monday Night Football next week in Houston in another important AFC South match up. Do or die time. The Titans fall to 5-5 on the year after coming off two big wins against the Cowboys and Patriots. This team has a problem, a huge problem — inconsistency. You wonder why analysts don’t know what to make of the Titans. Hell, we don’t even know to make of this inconsistent frustration of a team. One week the offense is clicking and the defense is shutting offenses down. The next week the offense is struggling to even get a field goal and the defense can’t get off the field.
