Ohio State received good news from a couple of prospects, on both the gridiron and hardwood, saying that they will continue to look at Ohio State during their recruiting process.
Turner Corcoran: Corcoran is a 2020 lineman who is currently listed as a 4-star. He is 6’6 and is a 280-pound lineman. His list includes Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. If he joins Ohio State he will join an outstanding group of lineman who have already committed. Corcoran would be the 4th top lineman recruit to join the class of 2020.
It is no secret that Chris Holtmann has been aggressive in putting together a good 2019 class on the recruiting trail and it has paid off. The Buckeyes already have commitments from 5-star point guard D.J. Carton and they also have a commitment from a Cleveland native and 4-star small forward Alonzo Gaffney. Holtmann is not done there, however.
E.J. Liddell: Liddell is a 4-star power forward from Belleville, Ill. The power forward is 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds. He is athletic and is a capable three-point shooter, but he doesn’t attempt many. He looks like he could use a little bit more muscle in his upper body, because he is a tad undersized at power forward. He is not nearly as undersized as Jae’sean Tate was, though. He is ranked as the No. 47 best player in the class of 2019 and all signs point to him signing with the Buckeyes. He recently narrowed his list down to five teams and according to 247 there is an 83% chance he chooses Ohio State.
Ohio State’s class of 2019 has started off nicely and is a top five class right now. Adding Liddell would be another huge addition for Holtmann as he tries to bring Ohio State back to the National title conversation.
