Brenton Strange

Brenton Strange is a 3-star tight end out of Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was heavily recruited by both Ohio State and Penn State, but Strange made his decision to attend school in State College over Columbus after the 27-26 defeat the Buckeyes had over Penn State. He is the 19thranked tight end in his class. Strange has good height at 6-5 but could put on some more weight as he only weighs in at 210 pounds. He will join Penn State’s 2019 class which is ranked 12thnationally and 3rd in the Big Ten.

E.J. Liddell Signing

Ohio State basketball added to an already loaded class of 2019 this week. E.J. Liddell is a 4-star power forward from Belleville, Illinois. Liddell is 6-7 and 230 pounds. He is a big and physical power forward and will be a nice addition to the program. Liddell was named Mr. Basketball in the state of Illinois last season and is a good addition to a class that has a dominant true point guard and a talented wing scorer already signed. With Liddell, they bring that physicality and size to the frontcourt. Liddell is a decent shooter and decent ball handler, but he is not afraid to take players 1-on-1. He uses his size and ball handling to get past defenders and has become a tough cover.

Ohio State gets its 3rd top-50 recruit in the class of 2019. That is good enough to make Ohio State’s class fifth in the country, and they are ranked first in the big ten. For Liddell, it came down to three schools: Illinois, Missouri and Ohio State. For Illinois, his decision comes as a disappointment because another team in the conference stole the top talent in their state.
