The Los Angeles Rams have acquired former first-round pick wide receiver Sammy Watkins from the Buffalo Bills.

Watkins was traded to the Rams with a 2018 sixth-round pick in exchange for a 2018 second-round pick and third-year cornerback EJ Gaines.

The Bills declined Watkins fifth-year option this past season as he has struggled with injuries throughout his career. He has only played in 37 games in three years including playing in just 8 in 2016.

In his three seasons Watkins has 153 receptions for 2,459 yards and 17 touchdowns on 16.1 yards per catch. He joins former Bills teammate Robert Woods on the Rams and will likely start across from him as the X-receiver in Sean McVay’s offense.

My name is Scott Moran, and I am the Chief Editor here at Armchair. I plan to attend the University of Arizona in 2018, and as such I am a huge Wildcats fan. However, if there’s any team playing college football or basketball, you can bet I’m watching. In terms of pro sports, I follow the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals, and Vegas Golden Knights. Despite my huge obsession with college sports, I have no delusions about my own athletic ability.
