March Madness begins this week and trust us, we are just as excited as you are. Still, the apex of the college basketball season does not signal the end of the recruiting trail, so there is still plenty to discuss over here at Armchair Big Ten Recruiting. As we reach the midway point of the month, we recap March’s recruit who have committed to Big Ten schools.
On March 2, the very next day, 3-star offensive guard Noah Fenske announced he would continue his career with the Iowa Hawkeyes. At 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, Fenske is the eighth ranked player in the state of Iowa.
JJ Guedet is a 3-star offensive tackle out of Washington, Ill. Guedet committed to Minnesota on March 4 and is ranked as the ninth prospect in the state of Illinois. Guedet’s other Big Ten offers came from Illinois and Iowa.
Ethan Piper, defensive tackle, is the fifth ranked player in the state of Nebraska. He committed to the Cornhuskers on March 5 and is rated as a 3-star by 247Sports.
A huge grab for the Fighting Illini, Marquez Beason is a 4-star ranked as the ninth overall prospect in the state of Texas. Beason committed on March 10; he had offers from almost every major Power 5 school in the country.
Roderick Heard committed to Northwestern on March 11. Heard is a 3-star defensive back from Farmington, Mich. At 5-10.5 and 175 pounds, Heard’s other Big Ten offers included Indiana, Michigan, Purdue, Michigan State and Penn State.
