While all of the focus this summer will be on the class of 2019, this week we take a look at the current class of 2020 commits in the Big Ten.
Over in Columbus, the Buckeyes have already received a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Jake Wray. Jake’s brother Max will be a Freshman at Ohio State this season. Wray is 6-5 and 290 pounds, from Marietta, Ga. and is ranked in the top 100 nationally, 13th at his position. He committed to Ohio State in April and is set to unofficially visit Columbus on June 5.
The offensive line is a major focal point for Ohio State in both 2019 and 2020. In this coming year, the Buckeyes have commitments from linemen Doug Nester and Ryan Jacoby.
Nester and Jacoby are both 4-star recruits. Nester is from West Virginia while Jacoby is staying home as he is from Mentor, Ohio. Mentor is only about two and a half hours up the road from Columbus.
Wisconsin is known for its stellar offensive linemen, and Jack Nelson should be no exception. Nelson is homegrown talent being a 4-star from the state of Wisconsin. His size is unquestionable at 6-7 and 242 pounds. Nelson committed to the Badgers the day before Halloween and currently has offers from Michigan and Iowa.
Already in 2019, the Badgers have received commitments from two offensive tackles. Logan Brown is a 5-star ranked the 9th overall recruit and top at the position for 2019. Joe Tippmann, the second offensive tackle, is a 3-star recruit.

Minnesota’s 2020 commit comes from the home state. Jonathan Mann is a 3-star wide receiver from Minnesota. Mann committed to the Golden Gophers on April 17 on the same day as an official visit. Mann also has offers from Arkansas, Iowa and Iowa State. At 6-4 and 190 pounds, Mann adds height to the Minnesota receiving core that could get him significant playing time in the future.
The Gophers had three wide receivers commit in 2018, and currently have received no receiver commits for 2019.
