Baylor and Kansas State have both sent offers to Taylor High School offensive lineman Bryce Foster (‘21) from Katy, Texas.

On top of the Big 12 offers, he has also received offers from Auburn, Boston College, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Missouri, Syracuse, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.

“It’s insane to be my age and have offers from those two big schools (Baylor and Kansas State),” Foster told Armchair. “It’s an amazing honor.”

Two other Big 12 schools Foster is also looking at is the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners. Foster also visited Texas in June 2017. For Texas, Foster said he has a great relationship with co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Herb Hand.

For Oklahoma, it is the style of play that interests Foster.

“I like the way Oklahoma plays,” Foster said. “They play very aggressive and fast. They also send people to the next level.”

Foster has earned Academic All-District honors and MaxPreps All-American first team honors as well. His 40-yard dash time is 5.17 and he has a 27 inch vertical. He benches 300 pounds and has a time of 70 in the 400-meter dash. At 6-4, 290 pounds, those are impressive testing scores for a senior. Foster is just finishing up his freshman year of high school.

Two schools that Foster wants to visit again are Miami and Georgia, he said.

“I loved their campus,” Foster said, “but I’m just keeping all my options open. I mean I’m still young so I have plenty of time.”

He really does have plenty of time. Most 2021 recruits have barely heard from schools, but Foster is different. Take a look at his 2017 highlights and you will see why.

Hello, my name is Jack Densmore. I grew up as a kid watching the Alabama Crimson Tide with my dad, who basically introduced me into the sports world. As I grew up, I fell in love with the NFL and the Houston Texans, as well as other sports including basketball, baseball, hockey, and snowboarding. Other sports I’ve watched before, but those aren’t too interesting to me. As a kid, I played pee wee football and I was an offensive lineman/defensive lineman, basically it was given to me because I was the tallest kid. Afterwards, I didn’t feel like playing football anymore and ran for cross country for my middle school for a year. Short story, I was an average runner. Eventually, I joined the journalism world, and I’d rather write about the athletes than be an athlete, because they can do it better than me by a long shot.
