Bellator MMA returns this weekend with its third event in an eight-day span. Bellator 217 takes place at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Due to the card being internationally-based, Bellator 217’s main card will be tape-delayed to the United States viewers.
Undercard action will be streamed Saturday at 7 p.m. EST, 4 p.m. PST on DAZN and the Bellator mobile app, in addition to bellator.com/live. The main card will air at 9 p.m. EST, 8 p.m. CST on Paramount Network and DAZN.
Highlighting Bellator 217 on Saturday night is a Bantamweight non-title fight matching 7-1 James Gallagher from Ireland with 6-3 Steven Graham from the United States. Remember, in Bellator MMA, non-title main events are a maximum of three rounds at five minutes per round.
Both fighters in this main event come in standing 5-foot-9 inches tall. Gallagher has posted a 4-1 record in his five career Bellator MMA appearances, the only blemish in that span coming last time out, a first-round TKO at the hands of Ricky Bandejas during Bellator 204 in Sioux Falls, SD at the Sanford Pentagon on Paramount Network.
In the other corner, Graham, who will be making his first Bellator MMA appearance in Saturday night’s headliner, has gone 5-0 in his last five MMA fights, most recently winning against Johnnie Roades in Walkout FC 12 (second-round submission via rear-naked choke) on Sept. 15.
Note: No reach information was accessible on Tapology.
Prediction: Graham by first-round submission.
Other fights on Saturday’s main card include:
Peter Queally (11-4-1) vs. Myles Price (10-7) [Lightweight, co-main event]
Kiefer Crosbie (5-0) vs. Daniel Olejniczak (3-2-1) [Welterweight]
Richie Smullen (3-1-1) vs. Adam Gustab (3-3) [Featherweight]
