The busy month of July in MMA continues with two Bellator MMA events this weekend. On Friday night, the Bellator doubleheader commences with Bellator 202 (main card live at 9 p.m. EST on Paramount Network from Thackerville, Okla. at the WinStar World Casino and Resort.)

Highlighting Bellator 202 is a Women’s Featherweight Championship contest matching incumbent champion Julia “The Jewel” Budd (11-2-0, four wins by knockout or technical knockout, one win by submission) and challenger Talita “Treta” Noguiera (7-0-0, two wins by knockout or technical knockout, five wins by submission.)

Budd enters Friday’s championship fight having won her five most recent Bellator contests, dating back to Feb. 13, 2015 versus Gabby “Gabanator” Holloway by decision. Budd’s latest win occurred in Bellator 189’s main event versus Arlene “Angerfist” Blencowe in December.

Noguiera comes into the match undefeated, having last appeared in the Bellator 182 undercard, winning versus Amanda Bell with a first round submission.

Given that these fighters have combined for 12 victories by stoppage, I have to think that will be the case again on Friday night.

Prediction: Noguiera claims the belt away from Budd by first round submission.

Other fights on Friday night’s card include:

Eduardo “Dudu” Dantas (20-5-0) vs. Michael “Mayday” McDonald (18-4-0) [Bantamweight co-main event]

Chris “The Cutt” Honeycutt (10-2-0) vs. Leo Leite (10-1-0) [Middleweight]

Valentin Moldavsky (6-1-0) vs. Ernest James (1-0-0) [Heavyweight]

Plus seven prelim fights on the Internet live stream.
