The Auburn Tigers are one of the best football teams in the country when it comes to playing at home. Auburn has won 13 consecutive games inside Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the team has no intention of letting the streak die this weekend. With LSU coming to The Plains on Saturday, the Tigers will have a chance to make the streak come full circle.

The first win in the two year streak came against the LSU Tigers in a game that ended on a touchdown that was called back to give Auburn the win. It seems only fitting that this is LSU weekend.  Both teams come in with 2-0 records and will look to take the title of the team that has the best chance of dethroning Alabama in the SEC West.

Major Early Season Matchup

Both teams are coming into this highly anticipated game with a lot of buzz about the possible things they can accomplish this season. With each team highly ranked, the game will most likely come down to Auburn’s defense. If the Tigers can defend the way they did in Atlanta against Washington, then they should be able to come away with their 14th consecutive home victory.

Jarrett vs Joe

The matchup of quarterbacks will also be intriguing, as Jarrett Stidham will look to cement himself as one of the SEC’s best. Stidham, now allowed by Gus Malzahn to change plays at the line-of-scrimmage, will have much more freedom this time around, as opposed to the 2017 debacle in which Auburn blew a 20 point halftime lead. Expect Stidham to air the ball out a good bit in this game, especially to freshman stud Anthony Schwartz. However, Auburn will also pound the rock a lot to try to get the running game on a new level for the rest of the season.

Both Tiger teams should show up pumped and ready to play, but only one can come away as the best Tigers in the West. Tune in to CBS at 3:30 EST on Saturday to catch all the action.
