Position Rank: RB #3

Conference Rank: ACC #2

Team Rank: Florida State #1

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is one of the nation’s most explosive offensive weapons and is a dynamic force whenever he takes the field. Cook averaged a whopping 7.4 yards per carry last season on his way to piling up 1,691 rushing yards and 20 total touchdowns. Cook was named a second team All-American and first team All-ACC performer last season, and he returns to Tallahassee as a preseason Heisman candidate. In 2016, Cook will once again do the heavy lifting for a Seminole offense that recently lost quarterback Sean Maguire to a foot injury. Cook and Florida State hope to improve on a 10-3 mark last season and make a return to the College Football Playoff this year.

As the offseason winds down, Parker Say will be counting you down to the 2016 college football season by unveiling the top 100 players of 2016, one day at a time. To see previous posts in the countdown, click here.
