Week 2 of the 2018 NFL season brought us our first “total annihilation” game. Every single person in the NFL Pick’Em had to the Eagles defeating the Buccaneers in Tampa last week, but the Fitzmagic continued. On the flip side, every single member got the hint of the Buffalo Bills “struggle season” and went undefeated picking the Chargers on the road.

Picking against the spread has proven more difficult than expected for the Armchair crew. Only 3 of the 10 writers in the NFL Pick’Em came out of Week 2 with a winning record. The new top dawg, Patriots’ writer Will LaFiandra, led the way with a 9-5 record ATS last week. Closely followed by him was Alex Reynolds who went 8-6 ATS. Finally, last week’s last place finisher, Cowboys’ writer Ben Barclay, completely flipped the script and went 8-6 ATS to bring him back in the ball game.

There are tons of short spreads between teams whose identity is not yet set in stone. Other short spreads are just great divisional matchups. Meanwhile, there is a college-type spread on the board the Vikings are over 17-point favorites against the bottom of the barrel Bills. Check out of all our picks in the Armchair All-Americans NFL Pick’Em Week 3 edition below..

Note: The Titans-Jaguars game is omitted because the spread was not available due to Mariota’s injury status.

I grew up like most Philly fans in the 90s; watching my dad scream obscenities at the TV as the Eagles lost a heartbreaker. I idolized Allen Iverson (still do), and cried my eyes out when the Sixers lost four straight to the Lakers in the 2001 NBA Finals. I’ve seen some dark days in Philly, but have always Trusted the Process. Still have not stopped celebrating Super Bowl 52 and don’t plan on it anytime soon. Eagles are Super Bowl CHAMPS!
