The Angels were able to keep a strong bat and quality glove in their lineup. On Wednesday the club signed a contract agreement with Kole Calhoun. The deal is reported to be for 3 years and $26M after the team was unable to avoid arbitration. Calhoun improved in 2016 after a slump year in 2015. He won a Gold Glove award in 2015 with the Halos, which is more than Mike Trout. This signing set the Angels up to return to the AL West crown. The added assurance of Calhoun along with signing two key starting pitchers the team is going in the right direction. The Angels’ outfield now appears to be some combination of Mike Trout, Kole Calhoun, Ben Revere, and Cameron Maybin.
