GAME RECAP

This was about as close a game as you can have in college basketball. From wire to wire it was a battle. Both teams continued to trade baskets which resulted in a 43-41 Virginia Tech lead at the half. During the second half, it was John Petty who was the star for Alabama. Alabama finally broke loose off a huge Petty three with 2 minutes left in the game to put Alabama up 5. Alabama then got a few key defensive stops and earned the right to play the number one seed, Villanova Wildcats in the round of 32.

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Even though Colin Sexton was huge for Alabama, it was John Petty who rose to the occasion as he had 20 points. He also added 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

My name is Matthew Carnahan. I’m a fan off mostly every sport that exists but the NBA has and will always be my favorite. Growing up I never really had a favorite team, I had favorite players. Those players ranged from Lebron James to Kobe Bryant to Steve Nash . I believe the NBA is the easiest sport to have favorite players in as it’s easier to build familiarity with them when they’re not wearing a helmet or mask. I’ve had a lifelong love for the NBA and it’s why i’m so passionate when it comes to covering it.
