It’s only been two weeks, but late night MMA is back on UFC Fight Pass from the Alaska Fighting Championships.
This Wednesday night (early Thursday morning), AFC returns to the streaming platform with AFC 158 from Anchorage’s Alaska Airlines Center.
Coverage of AFC 158 begins at midnight EDT, 9 p.m. PDT on Fight Pass, and in total, will feature eight fights (four at catchweights.)
Highlighting AFC 158 is a Featherweight championship contest in your main event, pitting 3-1 Jeremiah Sierra with 11-6-1 Tyson Duckworth.
As with all championship fights, this will be a maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round.
Contender Comparison: [note: height information for Jeremiah Sierra, as well as reach information for both fighters, was not available on Tapology at the time of this writing]
Heading into Wednesday night’s main event, Tyson Duckworth stands at 5-foot-9.
How they got here:
Jeremiah Sierra has posted a 3-1 mark early in his professional career and will enter this week’s main event on a two-fight winning streak.
Most recently, he stopped Kyle Dela Rosa (first-round guillotine) last June during AFC 149 on UFC Fight Pass in the co-main event of the evening.
In the other corner, Tyson Duckworth has posted a record of 4-1 in his last five fights and will enter the main event on a four-match winning streak.
Last time out, he scored a second-round submission (guillotine choke) against Terrence Wheat in AK Beatdown on Dec. 27.
Prediction: Tyson Duckworth by unanimous decision.
Other fights on Wednesday night’s card include:
Alonso Leisholm (5-1) vs. Cody Rice (14-13) [Welterweight co-main event]
Jason Flowers (1-4) vs. Chris Johnson (3-11) [Light Heavyweight]
David Booker (6-5) vs. Ernesto Zarate (debut) [catchweight- 165 lbs.]
