Alaska Fighting Championship returns late night Wednesday on UFC Fight Pass. The card begins at midnight EDT, 9 p.m. PDT on the streaming platform.

Ordinarily, this would have been the final card of the promotion’s schedule of events for the year, but thanks to the current agreement with UFC Fight Pass, AFC will now hold events throughout the summer and all year long.

The pact between AFC and UFC Fight Pass lapses at the end of 2020.

For the first time since AFC 143 last November, this card is highlighted by a championship fight—this time in the Welterweight division.

In the main event, 1-2 Jason Flowers fights 6-1 Charlie Johnson in a five-round fight for the vacant title.

Contender Comparison:

Flowers is the taller contestant in Wednesday night’s title fight, standing 6-foot-2, three inches taller than Johnson’s 5-foot-11 frame.

Jason Flowers enters this fight looking for his second win in the promotion, hoping to avoid a repeat of his last loss by submission due to a triangle choke in the first round of his fight against Uros Medic in AFC 142 last October on Fight Pass.

In the other corner, Charlie Johnson has posted a 4-1 record in his last five fights. Last time out, he scored a second-round knockout of Jared Foust during AFC 135 on Nov. 15, 2017 on Fight Pass.

Johnson had been slated to fight Tyler Milner in AFC 145 on Feb. 13 on Fight Pass for the Welterweight championship in the main event, but this fight was postponed before the event took place.

Ordinarily, at this point, we would mention the fighter who has the reach advantage as per Tapology, but that particular information is unavailable for this fight.

Prediction: Charlie Johnson by first-round KO.

Other fights on this Wednesday night’s card:

Alonso Leisholmn Jr. (5-0) vs. Uros Medic (4-0) [Welterweight, co-main event]

Charlie Gallant (0-2) vs. Isaiah Edwards (2-5) [Heavyweight]

Tre McClennaham (0-1) vs. Niall Atkinson (5-0) [Welterweight]

Isaac Baker (0-1) vs. Alex Aschenbrenner (1-1) [Featherweight]

Chante Stafford (0-1) vs. Archie Fultze (0-2) [Bantamweight]
